Coordination and Monitoring project mission in Haiti from the 11th to 16th of April 2010.

Mrs Paula Fernandes has been to Haiti from the 11th to 16th of April 2010 to participate to a Agreenium mission to evaluate the implementation of projects in progress which Agreenium members are involved, evaluate seism effects on projects.

 

Mission of Liliam Otero Pujol in Martinique from the 16th to 31st of March 2010

Mr Christian Lavigne welcomed Mrs Liliam Otero Pujol (IIFT) from the 16th to 31st of March 2010 for the action 36 “Prospection of promising native legumes as cover plants in orchards and for the action 40 which concerned her thesis.

 

Recruitment of Postdoctoral position from the 1st of April 2010

From the 1st of April 2009 to the 30 of September 2011, Mrs Sire Diedhiou, young researcher specialized in soil microbiology, integrates the DEVAG project team to study, within the scope of the Action 28 “Impact of sanitizing plants on non pathogenic soil microbial communities”.

 

Mission of Ludovic Temple in Lyon on the 11th and 12th of March 2010

Within the action 1 “Diagnostic and construction of institutional conditions of emergences of agroecological innovations”, Mr Ludovic Temple (CIRAD) has participated to a colloquia on “the reduction of Pesticides: Challenges, Modalities and Consequences”..

 

Major event of the 12th of January 2010

The beginning of this year has been marked by the earthquake in Haiti of the 12th of January 2010. This event has strongly affected our Haitian and French colleagues, destroying their houses, work places and sometimes affecting their own families. All the project members have shared their solidarity by sending support messages and donations directly or via NGOs.

 

Recruitment within the UR 103: Arrival of Guillaume Vitte on the 4th of January 2010

Since the 4th of January, the “Orchard team” welcomes Mr Guillaume Vitte, young engineer from ISARA. As a civil volunteer, he will step in on the theme “Integration of cover crops in orchards”
